IMD Expo International: exhibitions and congresses in the field of Hydrometeorology, Environmental monitoring and Earth Remote Sensing, 1997 – 2022: 25 years of exhibition business in the field of hydrometeorology in Russian Federation/CIS.

In 2022 the hydrometeorological community celebrated the 25^th anniversary of exhibition business in the field of hydrometeorology in Russian Federation/CIS. In 1997 the first international exhibition METEO EXPO took place in St. Petersburg. Over the past 20 years IMD Expo International in cooperation with Roshydromet organized 13 international hydrometeorological exhibitions – in 1997, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2019 and in 2022.

These exhibitions were organized in conjunction with WMO CBS, International Conference on Hydrometeorological Safety, 6^th and 7^th National Meteorological Congresses, 7^th Russian National Hydrological Congress, 20^th Anniversary Session of CIS Intergovernmental Council on Hydrometeorology, WMO TECO and CIMO, Roshydromet Assembly and etc.

Two METEOREX exhibitions were held in St. Petersburg in 2008 and 2014 respectively. All organizational aspects of the above mentioned events were highly acclaimed by Roshydromet and WMO. In 2014, METEOREX became the largest exhibition of its kind in history.
